Yesterday as planned we visited the BMW dealer in Bordeaux for a new drive chain. They did have the chain but no time to fit it because you need to remove the swingarm to mount it. Mike bought himself long underwear, it was 7° Celsius outside (south of france???) And of course the weather got worse, in Spain the temperature fell to 3°, (brrrr) rain and a lot of wind. We stopped in Burgos, checked in a hotel for a long hot shower. 
At the hotel we tried to contact the ferry company for a reservation but there was no way to contact them. Finally I got the SNCM the French ferry company that sells tickets for the passage Alicante – Oran. Three calls and three different messages; 1 the boat is full, 2 the boat has broken down and will not sail, 3 we don’t know what is going on.
If we miss the boat for some reason the next passage is Wednesday the 12th, what put us 5 days behind schedule. So after a morning of brainstorming and a zillion telephone calls we decided to abandon south of Spain and to head for Marseille to take the boat Saturday morning to ……. surprise…….. Tunisia.
Seats are booked and when we arrive in Tunis we will be to days ahead of schedule. If Mike is the champion for plan A, you can call me mister Plan B.
This morning we had another quick visit to the Burgos BMW dealer he checked the drive chain for us. Again no time to mount it, we have no time to loose…. Marseille it is!!!!!
We stopped tonight in Lleida, Spain. We have to days to go to Marseille. It will be a relaxed drive, I hope.

Ce voyage tellement prévu, ne se passe pas du tout comme prévu... C'est un super voyage, qui finalement est plein d'imprévus.
