The roman ruins of Sepultulia and off to Algeria

Yesterday morning we visited the ruins of the Roman city of Sepultulia. Interesting place to see, I’m always impressed by their architecture and building skills.

From SBEI TLA we went to Algeria. First we had to check out fromPhoto 063 Tunisia, at the customs office they asked that one paper that goes with the motorcycle. “ uhh, yes I remember that they gave me that paper, but what did I do with it?” Half an hour later I found it somewhere deep down in a pocket.

Next step was the Algerian border. In the beginning we passed trough quite  easily, our visa were ok, motorcycle papers also. But then we needed an insurance (our insurance is not valid in Algeria). Smart guys as we are we came without local currency, no bank at the border, no change either. And according to the customs officer it was strictly illegal to  pay with a foreign currency or to change money outside an bank. Lots of discussion but finally we could pay in euros if we paid 2o € of commission.  No problem……!!!!!

Oh, we forgot. Mike bought a new summer jacket. BMW Airflow 2. He is very proud and asked me to take some pictures. Watch the special superman feature.

We ate ate in a local restaurant in the city SOUK AHBAS., Hot soup and hamburger of the grill. The owner refused our money. He just said: “I hope you enjoyed your meal”

The night at the hotel, a former 3* down graded to –3*, was  uncomfortable. Some idiot made a lot off noise and tried to enter several times in our room.
